After training 3 years at performing arts school, I gravitated towards fitness as a career as it gave me the same buzz and passion. Working at a Pilates studio reception from a young age allowed me to take classes and experience Pilates on a regular basis. Having a dance background, I knew Pilates would be a perfect match with dance to help me look after my body.

I joined NewWave as a member in November 2017 for my fitness as I felt that the gym wasn’t enough compared to what I was used to at dance school. I quickly fell in love with Crossfit. Soon after I started teaching Mat Pilates at NewWave to give the members the benefits of combining Pilates with CrossFit.

Coach

When you love what you do you will never work a day in your life. That statement couldn’t be truer of my career as a Coach. I discovered that I have a true passion for coaching after having my two children, and completely changed my career path as a result. Helping others to make positive and often life-changing steps towards better health and fitness is an amazing privilege.

I have a massive interest in Mindset, Nutrition and Women’s Health and continue to study these areas to bring a deeper understanding to my coaching practices. Sport and fitness has always been a big part of my life, playing many sports including Gymnastics, Hockey and then Tchoukball at European standard as a kid. In later years, I took on many challenges involving sprint triathlons, cross country running and mid distant races until I discovered Crossfit 8 years ago when the sport was just being introduced in the UK. I have competed in many individual and team competitions, taking Newwave to The European Crossfit Regionals in Berlin in 2018. Outside of Crossfit coaching I am a Mum of two and the owner of online health and fitness coaching companies.

Coach

After being a very active kid and playing and competing in many sports, I went to university and studied for a career in finance. However, after getting my degree I worked as an unhappy banker who had problems with nutrition, eating disorders and training. It was time to get back to what I felt was my first love. Doing a PT course in my native Czech Republic seemed like a great idea to help me get some knowledge and solve my personal training issues. After completing my course I decided to take on another change and moved to the UK where I explored new ways of training, CrossFit and started to compete in powerlifting, competing in the English Championships.

I realised that the PT qualifications wasn’t enough for me and recently graduated with a first class degree in Strength and Conditioning Science at St Mary’s University Twickenham. I am currently also part of the S&C team for the Seniors Men’s Harlequins squad.

I truly believe that you can achieve anything with the right mindset and appropriate plan. I love CrossFit because it pushes people to become more conscious of their lifestyle, health and wellbeing. The community you become part of helps you through the highs and lows of your life, nit just your fitness.

As a former competitive high board diver & Gymnast at an international level, sport has always been a huge part of my life. I was taught form a very young age the importance fo health and fitness. Once I discovered CrossFit, I loved how my previous skills overlapped whiles I learnt new movements and lifts. I have a huge passion for coaching and love watching people how physically and mentally stronger, knowing I had an impact on that growth.

After working in the city as a lawyer advising businesses of all sizes on dispute resolution, risk and strategy, I took a career break to have children. I have always enjoyed sports, particularly outdoors and water-sports. I joined NewWave as a member in its first year after looking for a way to get stronger and to improve my competitive rowing. I loved the challenge and variety of CrossFit and it soon became my favourite sport.

I started working with the coaching team soon afterwards to give them business support. I now manage the day to day running of the Box. I love that I can use my business skills to help, support and guide a community that is so passionate about heath and fitness and improving peoples lives.

As a former gymnast I have been involved in competitive sport from a young age and, ever since, fitness and exercise has always played an important role in my life. Whether it was running marathons or cycling Alpine cols, I have embraced every sporting challenge.

After working as a nanny and personal trainer for several years (whilst still training and competing) I decided to combine my two passions and did a BAEd in Primary Education with a specialism in Physical Education.

Thereafter, I worked in a number of schools where I headed up the PE departments and helped change the attitudes children (and their families) had to health and fitness.

I am now a mother to 3 great kids, all of whom enjoy various sporting activities including CrossFit Kids which I coach both at NewWave CrossFit and at a local Independent School.

I have always been keen on personal fitness, but have been fully involved in training since 2007 when I was selected from over 5000 applicants in the UK to be involved in elite rowing. This led to me represent Great Britain in 2010 at the regatta in Germany and at the U23 World Championships in Belarus.

My experience during elite training gave me a real insight into the effort, commitment, and personal motivation required to obtain sustainable benefits from fitness training.

I discovered CrossFit and its innovative and unique approach to training a few years ago. I had been training a lot of my clients using these methods and have recognised that CrossFit is the most effective training for all aspects of fitness. Running a successful bootcamp in Cobham and now NewWave, has highlighted how important a fit and healthy community is to me, it is a privilege to me that my local community has supported me so much.
