Getting Started - Fundamentals Course

We have a two-part process to our induction, to ensure that you are able get the most out of the classes when you become a member at NewWave.
Before joining our main classes you need to complete Part 1 of our two-part Fundamentals course. You must then complete Part 2 within one month of joining the main classes.

Part 1

What is it?

A 2-hour session that covers the foundational movements of CrossFit. This framework provides a safe and suitable starting point for you to join our classes. The Part 1 Fundamentals course is smaller in size than our main classes with a maximum of 4-6 people.

When is it?

We have a regular Part 1 Group Fundamentals that runs on 3 Saturdays per month at 12pm. If you can’t make Saturdays, we can also offer you a Part 1 Flexible Fundamentals course for an additional cost, so that you can arrange a day and time that suits you.

How much is it?

The Part 1 Group Fundamentals is £30.
The Part 1 Flexible Fundamentals is £45.

Part 2

What is it?

A 1-hour session that must be completed within one month of you joining the main classes. This session will help you refine the more technical aspects of the Olympic lifting and barbell movements used in CrossFit.

When is it?

We have regular Part 2 Fundamentals sessions at 12pm on the last Saturday of every month and 8pm on the second Wednesday of every month.

How much is it?

If you turn up to our scheduled Part 2 Fundamentals sessions you get Part 2 for free! If, however, you are unable to make these times for any reason you may be required to make up the session with one of our coaches at an extra cost of £15.
